From the Administrator:

If you received a letter that your child needs a physical or immunization record update, please return these forms to me as soon as possible.
When your child is ill or will not be coming to the center please call by 9:00 so we may adjust our staffing accordingly.
I hope that everyone has had a chance to try out the Internet, I know many of you have really enjoyed viewing your children throughout the day.  If you have any problems logging on, make sure your user ID number is in lower case letters and the first 2 letters in your password are in capitals.  If you still have problems please feel free to give me a call.

Movers & Shakers:

The Movers & Shakers have been enjoying spending time playing outdoors on the playground, chasing balls, visiting the park, and going for rides in the stroller.
In August we hope to continue to enjoy the nice weather.  We will also be turning our room into a "Sports Arena", we will be focusing some of our classroom activities and artwork on sports and outdoor recreation.
We would like to welcome our newest friends:  Elijah, Gwyneth, and Jakob!!!

Cubs:

The Cubs had a great time at the Ozaukee County Fair, they especially enjoyed the petting zoo and the ice cream sandwiches.  We will continue our studies about farm animals and look forward to making butter and animal cookies.
We would like to welcome Katherine to our room (she's our other teacher helping out Stephanie and Sue) and also Alyssa and Jarrett who have joined our group.

Bears:

Last month we learned about community helpers and how to be safe.  We had a great time at the Ozaukee County Fair. we got our faces painted, petted animals, saw tractors, got to have ice cream sandwiches, and ride on a bus.  We will be visiting the Post Office this month and making a safety booklet.
We would like to welcome:  Matt and Kayla to the Bears side.

Starburst:

We have started file folders for each of the children, please check these folders daily for papers or notes that may need to be signed, you will also find your child's daily report in there (they are hanging on the parent board).
We will be hosting our "Silly Olympics" August 16th at Penninsula Park.  We are planning a water balloon toss, scavenger hunt, 2 legged race, and a tug of war.
We are going to be focusing on transportation and will be making some really cool art projects, so keep your eyes open for those.
With school starting at the end of this month please complete the form in your child's file folder and return it to Michelle or Angie no later than August 18th.
We would like to welcome:  Sam and Sean to the Starburst.

*****We have a lost and found box in the front hallway, please take a moment and check through it.*****
