April Press Release 1

Contact: Lisa Lecher

April 11, 2000 -- LEED CHILD ENRICHMENT CENTER, INC., a family owned business, announced the acquisition of Play And Learn School known as "PALS" located in Saukville, Wisconsin. Lisa Lecher, President of LEED Child Enrichment Center announced that the new ownership will bring some significant changes in the center's current structure.

LEED CHILD ENRICHMENT CENTER is established from a parents' perspective to maintain a center that is designed for the benefit of the community. The center provides care Monday through Friday from the hours of 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Parents, grandparents and friends are welcome and encouraged to visit the center and observe the children in their different activities.

The mission for the center is to provide a learning, nurturing environment with superior care, to all children, which will best prepare them for entering the pre-school curriculum and activities. The goal is to provide the children with encouragement and self-discipline through positive guidance and to provide an educational, but fun environment for all the children. LEED CHILD ENRICHMENT CENTER provides high quality education to the children to prepare them for the future.

All children will have an atmosphere of structured activity and self-guided play. Lias Lecher stated that it is her goal within the next year for the facility to have the state-of-the-art equipment and learning techniques. The preschool and school age children will have computers available while newborn nursery will have an array of development building toys. The toddlers will have a well-rounded assortment of educational material and toys to make learning fun. Parents will have immediate knowledge of your child's activities. Within the next year, the facility will have the state-of-the-art video equipment, which enables the parents to observe their child's activities at any time by use of the Internet.

As children explore, test, and repeat activities, teacher explanations, questions, and guidance provides clues, facts, and recognition of patterns to children. The Teachers will facilitate play activities and help supply the words for the concepts and feelings children express in their play as they learn how to interact with the various elements which comprise their world (situations, environments and other persons). In group play, children learn to share, consideration and tolerance for other children, and develop meaningful relationships with others (both children and adults) who care for them. Importance is placed on overall development of all stages 6 weeks to 1 years of age. The center is built around the development and interaction of the children.

A positive admission system will be put into place that better identifies the needs of the child. The new Center Administrator/Director, Kathy Johnston will monitor the enrollment to insure the adult/child ratio does not exceed regulations. This ration is dependent on the children's age, available space and several other factors. Before enrollment of any child, the Administrator will meet with the parents to explain the policies, program structure and any special needs of the child. The Child Enrichment Center will accept any child meeting the requirements; no child will be excluded based on race, sex, religion or handicap.

Watch for new developments of LEED CHILD ENRICHMENT CENTER.
